About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join our growing Enterprise Team within the Enginuity Group. The Data Engineer is key to our business providing unique and intriguing insights and services to our customers by leveraging data science and analytics. This is an opportunity to really make a difference to the strategy for the next wave of product features and system capabilities and establishing Enginuity as an expert on engineering and people skills.
Key responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
As the Data Engineer you will be responsible for enabling, facilitating, and supporting data-rich, customer-facing products and projects, optimising solutions, and making recommendations to improve system architecture. Collaborating with the Solution Architect, Data Scientists, and Data Analyst, you will ensure the right data is available to the right quality at the right time.
Skills and experience required
What we’re looking for
You will have demonstrable experience of Azure Data Bricks, Azure SQL/SQL Server relational bases, consuming REST APIs, and storing response data in Azure Stores. A proven track record of development using Python, and extensive knowledge of securing data assets, compliance, and data governance. An expert in SQL, preferably MS TSQL, and at writing well structured, modular, maintainable code as well as writing unit tests and code quality tooling.
You will have strong analytical, critical, and creative skills with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will have proven experience of developing strong, credible business relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as excellent planning and organising skills with a can-do- attitude and a solution focused approach.
Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role
If you have a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, experience of Azure Data Factory, knowledge of Power BI, some experience of configuring DevOps pipelines using YAML to publish software, and or use of Azure Data Catalog this would be an advantage.
