We encourage our colleagues to take ownership of their own continuous professional development and discuss this regularly with their manager through our quarterly performance conversation process.  We’ll support colleagues with membership of professional bodies and encourage cross functional working, working on specific projects and job shadowing to expand skills and knowledge.

We care about the wellbeing of our people and in 2020 we partnered with Laughology to run interactive webinars for all of our colleagues,  providing tools and strategies to look after our mental wellbeing and help build resilience.

Your Wellbeing

We care about the wellbeing of our people and want our people to be mental and physically well. Our wellbeing support has been designed to be accessible, practical and relevant to today’s issues. We offer:

• • A comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme which provides a 24-hour confidential advice service to help you through any of life’s challenges. You can also access free counselling for you and your direct family members through the service

• • Our wellbeing portal and interactive app provides access to videos, podcasts, information, health checks and much more and we regular share information and advice through our communications channels to raise awareness and support national campaigns

• • We regularly run wellbeing workshops and webinars to encourage people to think about their mental wellbeing and we encourage the use of Wellness Action Plans (WAPs)

• • Vouchers for a free eye test and contribution to glasses required for computer (VDU) use

• • At induction, all new starters will complete a Mental Wellbeing e-learning module to provide support and information to look after your mental wellbeing

• • In 2021, we will be training Mental Health First Aiders across the business who will support colleagues and continue to raise awareness of this important topic as well as running a training programme for our managers on supporting mental wellbeing

Your Reward & Recognition

Our colleagues are rewarded with a competitive salary with pay progression through annual pay reviews and everyone is able to join our Defined Contribution pension scheme upon commencing employment.

Our annual leave entitlement starts at 25 days per annum for full time colleagues and increases with service up to 27 days per annum. Our colleagues also receive an additional three days of paid leave between Christmas and New Year in addition to their annual entitlement.

We believe it’s important that good work is recognised so through our regular performance conversations and monthly CEO update we recognise when people have delivered an exceptional service to our customers or have really lived our values.
