As the world celebrates International Men's Day, often highlighting men's health and positive role models, Enginuity is proud to take this opportunity to shine a light on the male allies who are actively helping us build a more inclusive and diverse future for engineering and manufacturing.

Allyship in a changing sector

Historically, the engineering and manufacturing sector has been a male-dominated field. While we are committed to seeing more women enter and become successful in STEM careers, this important work cannot happen without the support and commitment of their male colleagues.

An ally is someone who is challenging non-inclusive behaviour and advocating for equitable opportunities, using their influence to promote talented individuals from underrepresented groups, and actively seeking out and amplifying diverse perspectives.

These actions are the building blocks of positive cultural change, a setting in which everybody, regardless of gender, can realise their full potential.

Join the movement

Our campaign, 365 Faces of STEM: Seen to make a difference, launched with the main objective of celebrating the extraordinary women building the future of STEM. Importantly, the campaign was also designed to recognise and honour the allies who support them.

We seek to include male allies in the campaign intentionally because they are the everyday role models proving that inclusivity is a shared responsibility. So far, we’ve featured 48 men in our campaign. By highlighting their profiles, we reveal leaders who are driving cultural shifts in a positive direction across the sector.

If you know someone who's been a true ally in STEM, someone who has supported women, challenged bias, or helped make your workplace more inclusive, we'd love to hear their story. Nominate them for our 365 Faces of STEM campaign and help us shine a light on their contributions.
