Enginuity and EAL welcome three new members to the Board of Trustees

Enginuity and EAL are delighted to announce the appointment of three new board members: Sarah Lambert, Nicola Randles, and Ben Carpenter-Merritt. Each brings a wealth of experience, insight, and strategic leadership that will strengthen our joint mission to support skills, innovation and growth across the engineering and manufacturing sectors. 

About Sarah Lambert 

Sarah is Global Reward, Engagement and DE&I Director at Hilton Foods PLC, with over 15 years’ HR leadership experience across FMCG, automotive, retail, and financial services. She has previously held senior roles at Jaguar Land Rover and Marks & Spencer, specialising in executive remuneration, organisational transformation, M&A integration, and global reward governance. 

Sarah is known for her commercial acumen, values-driven leadership, and passion for effective governance. She brings a deep understanding of people strategy, DE&I, and cultural change that will help guide both Enginuity and EAL as we continue to evolve and grow our impact.

About Nicola Randles 

Nicola is Chief Technology Officer of German engineering company Evodos and Director of Corinium Innovation, a UK-based technology incubator. A Chartered Engineer with an MA in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge and an MBA from London Business School, Nicola has held senior leadership roles across engineering design, R&D, intellectual property, technology transfer, and commercial strategy. 

Nicola’s deep technical expertise and unwavering advocacy for STEM skills development make her a powerful addition to our boards. Her track record in mentoring, innovation, and championing engineers and scientists reflects our shared commitment to equipping the UK workforce with the skills for the future.

About Ben Carpenter-Merritt 

Ben is Chief of Staff to the Group CEO and Group Director of External Affairs at British defence company, Babcock International. He owns the corporate engagement strategy and advises the Executive Committee and Board on policy and stakeholder relations. 

A graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies and Fellow of the RSA, Ben has held a range of leadership roles in policy and public affairs with a focus on engineering and industrial policy.  

Ben brings exceptional knowledge of government, industry, and strategic communication that will help shape and influence the direction of our work.
