Lord John Hutton, the Chair of Make UK, expressed his delight in announcing the appointment of Ann Watson as a non-executive director of the organisation.

Ann has been the Chief Executive of Enginuity Group (formerly Semta) since 2015, working closely with engineering employers to identify and develop solutions to the numerous skills challenges within the sector. She represents employer views to Government departments and stakeholders such as the Institute for Apprenticeships to ensure that skills policy aligns with the needs of engineering sector employers. With over 20 years of experience in the skills and engineering sectors, Ann has acquired a unique breadth and depth of knowledge through her various senior roles in relevant organisations.
