The Cornwall Manufacturers Group (CMG) Awards Night returns on Tuesday 10 November 2026 at the magnificent Eden Project – and Enginuity is honoured to attend the awards ceremony.
Enginuity CEO Ann Watson will present the Rising Star Award to someone who exemplifies emerging local talent, helping shape the future of manufacturing in Cornwall, who has made an impact within the ranks over the last 12 months.
The nominees for the CMG Awards 2026 Rising Star are:
- Lloyd Vance – Composite integration
- Kyle Miners – St Eval
- Lewis Key – Watson Marlow
The competitiveness in this and other categories including the Apprentice Award, Environmental, and the Large and Small Manufacturer awards, are testament to the efforts and achievements of the regional success story that is manufacturing in Cornwall.
This year’s shortlist of nominated companies spans a wide variety of industries including agriculture, medical products manufacturing, and marine and mining equipment. Members of the CMG employ more than 4,000 staff and have an average turnover exceeding £6 million, contributing £235 million to the local economy every year. The CMG works with local authorities and manufacturing advocates such as Enginuity to help shape the sector’s future in Cornwall.
“It’s an honour to represent Enginuity at the event and for our CEO to present the Rising Star award,” said Amie Bridson, Strategic Growth and Sector Engagement Manager at Enginuity. “The Cornwall Manufacturing Awards is a tremendous opportunity not only to get together and celebrate the region’s achievements over the last 12 months in industries across the board, but also to recognise the emerging talent within Cornwall companies.
“At Enginuity we are dedicated to solving the skills gaps that are holding back employers and workers, developing the talent they need to succeed in this sector – the Rising Star Award is the perfect way to celebrate skills among younger workers, in anticipation of a glittering future career.”
CMG CEO Eric Nicholls said:
“Cornwall has a remarkable manufacturing community, and these awards provide an opportunity to recognise the people, ideas and commitment behind its success.
It’s particularly encouraging to see so many apprentices and rising stars shortlisted. Developing new talent is essential to the future of manufacturing in Cornwall, and recognising those making an impact early in their careers is an important part of that.”
