Enginuity is set to host an insightful webinar, V Levels: what, why, how? – unpacking the Government’s proposals for new Level 2 and 3 vocational pathways, known as V Levels, and what they could mean for the future of engineering education and skills.
The webinar offers engineering and manufacturing employers, providers, and stakeholders a chance to understand and discuss some of the most significant post-16 education reforms in recent years.
With the Government actively consulting on the introduction of a third vocational pathway at Level 3, alongside two new pathways at Level 2, Enginuity aims to bring clarity to the proposals and gather valuable perspectives from across the sector.
Attendees will hear expert insight from Kate Young and Carl Joran (Policy Managers at Enginuity), who will examine:
- What the Government is proposing for V Levels, new Level 2 pathways, and the expansion of T Levels – and the rationale behind these reforms
- Which existing qualifications, including BTECs are set to be defunded, the expected timeline
- Opportunities and risks for the engineering sector as the pathways shift
- What industry needs government to consider ensuring V Levels meet the needs of employers and learners.
The webinars will also provide a platform for participants to share views that could help shape Enginuity’s response to the consultation and ensure engineering’s voice is heard.
