What is Skills Comparator?

Skills Comparator is a powerful web application designed to help engineering and manufacturing employers and individuals uncover transferable skills that are valuable across various jobs and industries.

Unlike technical or task-based abilities, these skills —such as teamwork, communication, and adaptability — are often hidden but essential for success. By highlighting these broader competencies, the tool supports informed decisions in recruitment, upskilling, and reskilling, making it easier to adapt to changing workforce needs.

"Enginuity has been a key partner for the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, working with us to develop our career converter tool. Enginuity created a machine-based learning tool and skills-matching methodology, which extracted skills, knowledge, and behaviours from the most critically under-resourced jobs in vaccine manufacturing and matched them to jobs across all sectors. Users could discover which role in vaccine manufacturing best suited their current job role via an intuitive online tool."
