4. Use cyber essentials as a baseline

Adopt a recognised minimum standard to improve discipline and meet customer expectations.

5. Prepare for incidents

Make sure people know how to escalate problems, recover systems and keep operations running safely.

6. Build workforce awareness

Ensure managers, engineers and operational staff all understand basic cyber risks and responsibilities.

7. Use available support

Draw on support from organisations such as the NCSC, IASME, Made Smarter, HVM Catapult, and Enginuity.
