Why are we doing this?

National Occupational Standards (NOS) are essential for creating high-quality apprenticeship frameworks and vocational training programs. They provide benchmarks for competent performance across various industries and must be regularly updated to reflect changes within those sectors. This project aims to ensure that NOS remain relevant and effective in supporting the UK’s skills landscape.

About the project

This year, Enginuity is conducting routine reviews of the NOS for Semi-Conductor Manufacturing, along with mini reviews for Abrasive Blasting Operators and Laser Cutting Machine Operators. These reviews will assess the current NOS provisions, identifying gaps and necessary amendments to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the industries they serve.
